Legacy Bar & Grill is Mobile's premiere fine dining restaurant founded by Billy Cox and Gary Englade. We specialize in local flavors in a warm atmosphere unique to this region. We serve local fresh Gulf seafood, never frozen and filleted in-house. Our culinary team hand-cuts steaks to order, and we use local produce when available. Many of the herbs we use to season our dishes - we grow in our organic garden. Executive Chef Dave Durant brings an innovative style of cooking that is robust in flavor while still paying homage to the classic dishes Mobilians love!
Legacy's unique atmosphere caters to both intimate and grand events. We have a formal dining room that sets the stage for a wonderful night out with family and friends or a place to take that special client. Our bar/lounge side is a space that welcomes you after a long day at the office or an escape for a great girls night out! We have live music Wednesday-Saturday beginning at 6:30PM showcasing local musicians, and our expansive bar that specializes in handcrafted cocktails and boasts an extensive wine list. We have an array of private dining rooms complete with customized menus and A/V support for your next baby shower, rehearsal dinner or pharmaceutical dinner.

Billy Cox was born and raised in Mobile, and he is a fourth generation pharmacist. His family owned the first pharmacy in Mobile. One of our private dining rooms, The Script Room, is short for "prescription", and it pays homage to this amazing history. Billy Cox believed Mobile needed a restaurant that served delicious food in an environment that showcased the best of the Gulf Coast through food and southern hospitality.
Gary Englade has been in the restaurant industry since he was 13-years-old. He has a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences. "We knew taking care of our guests was the difference maker. How we make people feel is what separates us from the competition. We focus on providing the best relationships, attention to detail, and our attitude with our team and guests. It is our mission to exceed guest expectations and obsess over making everyone feel special. Our business is creating memories."
Executive Chef David Durant formerly served as the Seus Chef at Camelia Cafe in Fairhope, Ala. His innovative and unique attention to detail is showcased throughout his menus. Durant and his culinary team believe in serving exceptional quality food that is adventurous but familiar. He believes in serving local fish, fresh herbs and high quality meat to every guest.
